Driving Change: Harnessing the Power of Effective Communication in Change Management
I have been engaged with some clients on a change management program for some time now.
One of the critical elements in the turnaround/change program is to get buy-in from senior players within the organization. Without that, the chances of the turnaround/change program succeeding are next to none.
The first meeting of the senior players was held with low engagement. A classic case of why are we here?
Some time has passed since that meeting. Some reinforcing strategies have been built and have been allowed to play out.
Engaging Senior Players in Change Programs
The next meeting of line managers was extraordinary.
Full engagement.
The single biggest reason for this was the two main leaders of the management group demonstrated keen interest and passion about the work that they were doing and the impact it had and so supported the turnaround/change program.
A complete turnaround so to speak.
Transforming organizational outcomes through effective communication
Simple reinforcing strategies are not difficult.
It boils down to the fundamental of all behaviours – how we communicate.
