I caught up with both the Chief and Senior Economist of the HIA yesterday. Here are my take ways:
- You know when you are in good company when the people you are spending time with have a deep understanding of a topic they are passionate about.
- Leading and lagging indicators can come from anywhere. Who would have thought Port-a-Loo and ‘brickies’ from Western Australia are indicators.
- The dynamics of the construction industry are changing, a lot, before it settles, taking a different look when it does.
- It’s good to spend time with people who know more than what you do. It’s motivating, leaving you to do and learn more.
