Ezio (Eddie) Senatore
I have a passion for education. I started with economics, some legal studies, change management, culture and mediation. The more I study, the more places I study at, the more I realise that it's all about people.
Coming from a migrant background, I learnt the values of hard work, dedication and perseverance from a very early age.
I graduated from college as College Captain and placed in the top 10% of students which gained me acceptance into the world recognised economics degree at the Australian National University (ANU). I was the first in my family to attend tertiary education. I received the prestigious medal for contemporary accounting and commerce after graduating for best in class. This award was presented by well-known and accounting theorist, Professor A.D Barton.
In my first year at ANU when his father and a number of migrant workers lost their jobs which sparked his interest in insolvency. My father was employed in the building industry. After doing some research, I argued that his father and his work friends should be paid entitlements, and they were.
More importantly I learnt the emotional damage financial stress can place on people and those around them. I also learnt that on the surface whilst situations look complex, they are not. So I have this personal mission to help people avoid becoming another business failure statistic. I have made it my mission to simply the complex. I have made it my mission to help people get organised.
After gaining some industry experience, I took on opportunities with Arthur Anderson, followed by Ferrier Hodgson where he became a registered liquidator.
With the knowledge and experience gained, I felt he had the skills to make his own mark and launched SBR, specialising in restructuring, change management, and insolvency.
During this time, I took an interest in Indigenous affairs and was instrumental in developing new organisational structures for the delivery of native title services across Australia.
A few years later, Deloitte acquired SBR where I was admitted as a partner for 5 years before I decided to return to the foundations that led to his passion for the industry.
Working directly with individuals and their hardships in dealing with difficult business situations.
In 2018, I relaunched my private practice firm on a mission to help people facing difficult business situations, including working with other professionals to find the best solution for clients.
More recently, I have gained national recognition as a nationally accredited mediator.
Today I continue to reinvent the industry landscape drawing upon over 35 years in business to provide clarity and certainty.
Working with me will reduce the risks that you will be another business failure statistic.
How Can I Help?
I’m not your average business consultant. My business cards say that I am a chartered accountant, business turnaround specialist, insolvency practitioner and an author.
But when you get right down to it, there is much more to every person — I’m a business owner, a counsellor, an entrepreneur, a strategist, a small business specialist, and I really care about business success. I am also licensed to sell businesses and real estate plus I have some legal training.
If you’re a business owner, then it’s likely that most of your efforts are geared towards surviving and growing your business. You may be performing well, but would like to improve, and searching for the right way to do it. You may be looking down the road to work out whether you want to pass on your business or you may be facing some serious financial issues.
I am here, I have over 30 years experience, and I’ve worked closely with CEOs, MDs and business owners. Because of my background, I bring a unique perspective to business. I specialise in helping executives run their businesses better; in terms of meeting growth targets, improving business operations, and bringing solutions that give a competitive edge or provide turnaround strategies for failing business or assist with maximising the benefits of a winding up should the business have no future.
So, if you’re interested in learning more about business, please contact me on 0448 000 010, or via LinkedIn. I’d love to talk to you about the success stories of other clients and ways that I can help you and your business.
